SANDAKAN: A teacher lodged a police report yesterday after he was threatened by a gardener who was dismissed from his job at a primary school at Mile 4 here.
District police chief ACP Rehwell Marung said the part-time gardener was called by one of the teachers to cut the grass in the school’s compound.
However, it was pointed out during a meeting of the teachers that the gardener was not in the employer’s list and he stayed overnight in the school.
The victim, who is also the teacher in charge of security, went to inform the gardener about the school’s ruling. The gardener was not happy. He argued and started a fight with the teacher.
He left and threatened to kill the teacher.
Fearing for his own safety, the teacher lodged a police report right after the gardener had left the school.
