KUCHING: Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is organising a one-day seminar on the products and services provided by Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) in Marudi on May 15.

The seminar is one of DCCI’s ongoing activities to increase awareness on what Risda can offer landowners who are interested in planting rubber trees as a means of improving their economic livelihood.

More than 50 participants are expected to attend.

Risda Miri/Limbang/Bintulu stations head Baharuddin Amran will be delivering a detailed presentation on how to plant the latest clone of rubber trees and the most up-to-date management of rubber smallholdings.

This will be followed by a question and answer session.

A similar seminar, held in Lawas on April 17, saw around 100 participants who received application forms for Risda’s assistance.

The seminar is free. Seats are limited on a first come, first served basis. Those interested to attend can contact Telajan Luyuh, DCCI Supreme Council / Regional Coordinator Marudi-Miri at 019-4875727 or DCCI Secretariat at 082-425821.
