Indian train derails, injuring 25

NEW DELHI: At least 25 people were injured when a train derailed in central India.

This is the second derailment in the country in less than a week.

Train services across central India were disrupted after the derailment in Madhya Pradesh state early today, said Railway official Ghanshyam Singh.

All the passengers in the seven fallen carriages were rescued.

Last Wednesday, 27 people were injured when a train derailed in eastern India.

India has one of the largest railroad networks in the world, with around 14 million passengers daily. – Agencies
