Haze: Cut down outdoor activities, says Health Ministry

KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the public have been advised to cut down outdoor activities due to the haze.

In a statement, the Health Ministry also advised them to wear masks if they had to engage in outdoor activities, drink plenty of water and maintain good hygiene.

The Department of Environment reported moderate air quality in 31 areas yesterday, with the air pollutant index (API) hovering between 51 and 100.

The air quality in 21 areas was good as at 5pm yesterday.

Among areas which recorded high API were Port Klang (99), Bukit Rambai (96), Melaka city (88) and Port Dickson (85). — Bernama
