SIBU: PKR Lanang branch chairman George Chen wants the stuffy atmosphere at the departure hall of the Sibu Airport improved to a more conducive setting.
He suggested putting back air-conditioners that had been removed to facilitate the on-going renovation of the airport.
Chen said he personally experienced the stuffy situation during his recent trip overseas.
“Many people have complained about the stuffy and humid condition in the departure hall.
“It was unbearable and especially with the current dry spell, it could even become the source of sickness,” he added.
Chen said the situation would be worse in the event of flight delay or cancellation.
“The crowd will be bigger,” he explained, adding that he had brought up the matter with the management of the airport.
