MIRI: The top collector of the Dynasty Hotel 8th Charity Run joggerthon card will receive a return Miri-Kuala Lumpur air ticket.

An established financial institution in Miri, CIMB Bank Berhad, lends its support to the charity run by accepting a total of 50 joggerthon cards from Dynasty Hotel yesterday.

“This year, we do not set the fund target, however, we are hoping to see an encouraging amount as compared
to last year where RM67,000 was raised from over 250 participants.”

“Thus, with the strong support from the public at large, we hope for a record-breaking amount this year as compared to last year’s amount,” said Dynasty Hotel acting general manager Ho Poh Chin at the handing over of joggerthon cards to the CIMB Bank area retail manager, Mohamad Daud Abdul Hamid, on Tuesday.

Also present at the ceremony were CIMB Bank branch manager Stanley Sigar Arun, Dynasty Hotel senior Sales and PR executive, Everett Wilson and Sales and PR managress Patricia Luart.

According to Ho, they are expecting another banking institution to support the charity fund.

The Dynasty 8th Charity Run will be held on July 10 with the aim to raise fund for philanthropic causes.

This year, the flag off will be at the main road in front of Dynasty Hotel’s entrance at 6.30am.

The categories are Men’s Open, Women’s Open and Men Veteran with 10 winners per category to run a 10km distance, while youths are to run about 8km.

The Men and Women’s categories’ first place winners will each receive RM1,000 cash prize, a trophy and certificate.

For the Male and Female Youth categories, there will be 6 winners per category whereby the champion will each receive RM400 cash, a trophy and certificate.

The Men’s Veteran’s first place winner will also be receiving RM400 cash, a trophy and certificate.

The charity fund which has been set up since 2003 has over the years brought cheers to the less fortunate during the festive celebrations of Chinese New Year, Gawai Dayak, Hari Raya and had also benefited the Miri Dialysis Centre.
