SIBU: More Sarawakians are investing their money in property outside their state, said Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd (Andaman) sales and marketing manager Patty Lim.

In Johor, for instance, three retail lot units at The Summit Batu Pahat shopping centre now belonged to Sarawakians,” she corroborated.

“Sarawak investors have realised they can make good profit from it,” she told reporters yesterday at a roadshow to promote the Arc Cyberjaya apartments and retail lots at the new wing of The Summit Batu Pahat.

The Summit, located in the heart of Batu Pahat town, was established in 1996.

“With a town population of five hundred thousand, The Summit has proven to be the most popular venue and comprehensive one stop shopping centre.

“Its location and good accessibility from the surrounding townships make it a destination of choice for locals and outsiders,” she said. Developer Summit Parade Sdn Bhd had opened a new wing which will start operation in two months’ time.

“Andaman is selling 25 units of retail lots there,” she said.

“Three units are sold during our roadshow in Kuala Lumpur. Today (yesterday) we had just signed a deal with one buyer from Sibu.

“We expect to sell off all 25 lots,” she said.

The price, she said, was between RM280,000 and RM950,000 per unit, and the size was between 368 square feet and 1009 square feet.

“For this promotion, buyers will be given five per cent discount.

“Buyers are given guaranteed returns of 10 per cent of the total cost,” she enthused.

The promotion is held at Kingwood Hotel here until July 10, from 10am to 9pm.
