SIBU: Yellow T-shirts are not taboo in Sibu come tomorrow — the day the Bersih 2.0 rally is scheduled.
Police chief ACP Shafie Ismail told a meet-the-people session at Sibu Central Police Station (CPS) yesterday that shirts of any colour would be allowed so long as they do not carry the wordings like ‘Bersih 2.0’.
“My men will be on standby to ensure security in this peaceful town,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shafie said the CPS had setup a counter for a twice monthly meet-the-people session.
“It will be on Thursday in the first week from 9am to noon and Saturday in the third week from 2 to 5pm,” he announced.
He welcomed the public to join the session to give suggestions and assistance that may enhance policing.
The counter, he said, was also for those who had lodged police reports to check the progress of investigation concerning their reports.
