Borrowers brought to court for payment default

SIBU: A money lending company here brought three borrowers to the Magistrate’s Court yesterday for allegedly failing to pay back their debts.

The trio was said to have borrowed RM21,000 from the company in June 2009. Under the agreement, they were required to pay back in 70 monthly installments with 18 per cent interest.

They were said to have stopped payment after having paid 10 monthly installments at RM615 per installment.

They claimed that they only got RM2,500 from the company.

Their case will be heard by the court on Oct 13.
