KANGAR: The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, today suggested that innovative ways be introduced to give the Warriors’ Day event a boost.
He said the event should be “agency and community driven” and not merely filled with parades and launching of the Warriors Day Appeal Fund.
Programmes for the Warriors’ Day event should involve the participation of students in schools and institutions of higher learning, the village development and security committees and mosque committees, he said at a discourse on Warriors’ Day at Istana Arau here last night.
The discourse was organised by the Tuanku Syed Putra Foundation, of which Tuanku Syed Faizuddin is the chairman. — Bernama
