LANGKAWI: Trees uprooted by strong winds during two storms badly damaged six cars here yesterday evening.
However, no one was injured in the incidents, said Langkawi Fire Station chief Yaakob Hassan.
He said five cars parked along Jalan Langkawi Mall were damaged in a storm which occurred at 6.20pm and one parked near a shopping mall next to Langkawi Fair was damaged in the earlier storm, at about 4.30pm.
The owners of the vehicles were doing their Aidilfitri shopping at that time, he added. — Bernama
