MARUDI: A young Bidayuh from Kuching, Markos Sibong has assumed the duty of Assistant District Officer for Marudi District Office a month ago.
He takes over from Hamidiah who was transferred to the Kuching Ministry a few months ago.
The three posts of Sarawak Administrate Officer (SAO) have also been filled by Jeffery Jalong, Wan Mustapha and Rose Edward Tarang.
This was disclosed by Baram District Officer Joseph Belayong at a Hari Raya open house organised by Baram District Office Rando Club at the District Office Building Sunday night.
