SIBU: Belaga District Office will host a series of activities under the district-level ‘Belaga Rainforest Challenge 2011’ from today until Sept 18.
Coordinating the event are local government departments and agencies as well as non-governmental organisations.
Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Billy Abit Joo and Belaga assemblman Liwan Lagang will officiate at the closing on Sept 18.
Among the activities lined up are a raft safari, volleyball competition, marathon run, karaoke contest, poem recital
and cultural competitions, pedal boat racing, People’s Sports
and Belaga Rainforest Beauty Queen.
Swaylin, Stevenson and Angela Lata Jua are among the artistes to appear on stage.
