A 90-year-old retired farm worker in Brazil has fathered an astonishing 50 children, reports the Daily Mail.
The prolific output is the result of two marriages and affairs with his second wife’s sister and mother, he told his local newspaper.
‘The best thing God made in the world was women,’ Luiz Costa de Oliveria told the Diario de Natal in the north-eastern tip of the country.
Some of his children sadly died during their poverty-stricken childhood.
But he can now boast more than 100 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Many still live in three houses near to Luiz’s.
The man, who hasn’t smoked or touched alcohol for 40 years, admitted he doesn’t know the name of all his clan.
He said: ‘I could have other children out there that I don’t know about because I’ve always liked making love.
‘I don’t know all their names but I know I’ve got a lot of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren out there.
He still remembers fondly working hard on the land by day and racking up conquests by night.
”I hardly make love anymore these days, even though I’m in good health. But I still remember how wonderful it is to be in bed with a woman.’
Second wife Maria Francisca added: ‘Luiz’s only hobby was making love.
‘He never mistreated us, he always looked after his children well and we never wanted for anything.’
