KUCHING: Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud said he is confident that Sarawak would get its fair share of allocations in the federal Budget 2012.
Speaking to reporters after attending a Hari Raya gathering here yesterday, Taib said the state government had already forwarded its requests and proposals and “it is up the federal government to consider it.”
“I cannot ask for more. Whether our allocations are fulfilled or not, it is something to be discussed in a closed-door meeting,” he said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is scheduled to table Budget 2012 on Oct 7.
About 300 civil servants attended the gathering which was held at the old State Legislative Assembly building.
