Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar
KUCHING: State Legislative Assembly Speaker Dato Sri Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar heads the list of award recipients in conjunction with the Head of State’s 90th birthday today.
He is conferred the Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang (DA) award which carries the title ‘Datuk Amar’.
Next in the list is Muara Tuang assemblyman Dato Sri Mohammad Ali Mahmud who is conferred the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS) with the title of ‘Dato Sri’.
An honorary PNBS which also carries the Dato Sri title is conferred to Dato Seri Utama Dr Haji Awang Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri Begawan Pehin Urdana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Awang Umar of Brunei.
Meanwhile, Minister in Chief Minister’s Department Datin Fatimah Abdullah heads the list of recipients for the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (PGBK) award which carries the title ‘Datuk’.
Other recipients in the same category are Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Mohd Naroden Majais, Assistant Minister of Public Utilities (Water Supplies) Sylvester Entri, Assistant Minister of Housing and Urban Development Abdul Wahab Aziz, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Heritage Mong Dagang, Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB) chairman Roland Sagah Wee Inn, SP and PGB holder Temenggong Kanang Langkau, former First Division Infantry commander Major General Datuk Mazelan Kasap and 9th Brigade Infantry commander Brigadier-General Stephen Mundaw.
