5.5M quake hits Fiji region


SUVA: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Fiji region Tuesday at 00.37 GMT, the US Geological Survey said, according to Xinhua News.

The epicentre, with a depth of 528.30 km, was initially determined to be at 17.7889 degrees south latitude and 178.2442 degrees west longitude.
