KUCHING: Sim Swee Yong Development & Construction Sdn Bhd will be showcasing its commercial property developments at the Sarawak Builders’ Expo (Sarbex) 2011 Total Living organised by the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda).

The group’s executive director, Sim Meng Chiok, stated that the pure development player had a long history under the leadership of director Datuk Sim Swee Yong in developing well known areas in Kuching in the past four decades.

The company has a solid reputation of being a construction and development player that could deliver projects within master plan design specifications and the specified timeline.

Recently, the company completed 82 units of shophouses, two units of eight-storey towers at the Kota Sentosa Commercial Centre (KSCC).

Sim underlined, “We are pleased that our purchasers sold the units for RM1.2 million each. They are making RM310,000 per unit from a return of 19 per cent profit per annum.

“Operating businesses at KSCC include outlets by Causeway, 7-Eleven, Avon, Shung Way supermarket, Safeway, a 4D outlet and a post office. Coming soon is a Supreme Chicken Rice restaurant,” Sim elaborated.

Currently, the company was in the process of constructing 26 units of double-storey shophouses at Jalan Matang. Starting at RM580,000 with a 99 year lease hold, all units would face the main road.

Thus, they would be at an excellent location as they would have access to the nearly completed Federal Administrative Centre (FAC) road leading to Bandar Baru Samariang and the new road going to Kopodim.

Sim stated that only 10 of the 26 shophouse units would be available for sale and anticipated handsome returns for property investors looking into this project.

Within the next three months, the company would be launching 40 units of three-storey shophouses at 9th Mile, Jalan Penrissen-Serian Road.

“This is an exciting location as it is sandwiched between Jalan Penrissen going to Serian and Kuching. This site would give easy accessibility to go upcountry or to the city,” Sim revealed.

The company’s projects would be featured at Sarbex 2011 Total Living at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching from September 30 to October 2.
