MIRI: The Miri Football Association (MirFA) will launch the promotion of the Under-11 Miri Soccer Kids Programme here on Oct 1 and 2.MirFA chairman Harifen Mansur, who disclosed this, said the programme at Miri Stadium from 2pm to 6pm on both days, was targetting about 30 youngsters.
“The actual programme will kick off on Oct 22, also to at Miri Stadium,” he said.
The on-going programme, scheduled for every weekend, was the early stage of MirFA’s football development initiative, Harifen said.
“The young players will be taught the basics of the game by five certified coaches. Moreover, talents can be discovered and groomed for the future.”
Players who register for the promotion will get a pair of jersey, inclusive of the RM30 fee per child.
Harifen called on parents to register their children, saying the programme not only promoted a healthy lifestyle but was also an opportunity for the youngsters to learn the proper way of playing football as well as cultivate sportmanship.
