SIBU: The 2011 Sibu Division Maksak Inter-department 10-pin bowling competition will be held at Sibu Superbowl from Oct 28 to 30.The competition, organised by the Social Club of Sibu Division Education Office, is open to Maksak Sibu members Sibu. Any department without enough players to form a team can merge with another department facing a similar problem, according to the organising committee.
The competition is divided into men and women’s sections.
Each team must register six bowlers (three men or three women).
Each player will bowl in two events of four games and each department can send any number of teams for each category.
The bowler with the highest pin-fall for eight games will qualify for the Single Masters where the total pin-falls over eight games will decide the winners.
Those not selected can also bowl in the Single Masters on payment of a RM36 fee per team.
The entry fee is RM120 per team.
Entries close on Oct 18 to be followed by the managers’ meeting the next day at Sibu Superbowl.
A nine-pin tap competition will also be held on Oct 1, starting at 7.30pm.
Those interested may register and bowl in the qualifiers until Sept 30.
