BESUT: A traditional masseur was killed, his grandson was seriously injured and two others slightly hurt, in a three-vehicle collision at Km3 Jalan Seberang Jerteh-Kuala Besut this morning.

Besut police chief Supt Kamaruddin Mohd Zakaria said the masseur, Mohamad Jusoh, 64, of Kampung Pusu Tinggi, Bukit Puteri, near here, died on the way to the Besut District Hospital following the 8.30am incident.

“His grandson, two-year-old Aziq Husni Che Mohd Rozani who had a broken left hand and a cracked skull was treated at the Besut District Hospital before being transferred the University Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Krian for further treatment,” he told reporters here, yesterday.

He said the drivers of the other vehicles, Zulkifli Hamzah, 50, and Shahril Abu Bakar, 26, were slightly hurt.

Both were from Kampung Tok Has, near here.

Kamaruddin said Mohamad, who was driving a Proton Saga, was heading home from Jerteh when he ploughed into the back of a Perodua Kancil driven by Shahril who had stopped in
the middle of the road to turn right.

He said the Proton Saga then entered the opposite lane and collided with a MPV belonging to Zulkifli, a teacher. — Bernama
