KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed has advised young working adults not to get involved in corruption, be it giving or receiving a bribe.

Closing the “Junior Achievement Business Ethics” camp at University Malaya here yesterday, he said in this regard, it was important that they made professional ethics a priority.

“It is about personal integrity in your life. When you have power someday, don’t misuse it,” he told the participants.

Abu Kassim cited cases where the offenders were in power or position such as company managers and business premises owners.

Nevertheless, he said people were now aware of their responsibility as “whistle blowers” rather than be a party to the crime. — Bernama
