MAS provides MasterCard cardholders VIP access to CIMB Asia Pacific Classic

KUALA LUMPUR:  Malaysia Airlines will provide MasterCard cardholders the opportunity to attend the upcoming CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia. Customers must purchase a Malaysia Airlines ticket with their MasterCard from now until Oct 17 to be eligible for the exclusive passes, the national carrier said in a statement yesterday.

The top prize up for grabs is an honorary observer pass allowing the cardholder to accompany a professional golfer through the 18-hole golf course.

This includes an invitation to the VIP hospitality suite and the official welcoming reception, prior to tee-off, to mingle with professional golfers like Stewart Cink from the US, Angel Cabrera from Argentina and defending champion, Ben Crane also from the US.

In addition, selected lucky cardholders will have the opportunity to receive one of six VIP hospitality passes and sixteen course access passes.

Malaysia Airlines Regional senior vice president (Sales Malaysia) Azman Ahmad said, the airline would continue to work with MasterCard on similar endeavours to showcase their products and to reward customers for their patronage.

Apart from the exclusive golf privileges, Malaysia Airlines and MasterCard will provide customers with the opportunity to be treated to a unique luxurious holiday.

Entitled the Malaysia Airlines Highest Spender Programme, the programme rewards MasterCard cardholders who have spent the most purchasing Malaysia Airlines tickets.

The top ten highest spenders will be pampered with a luxurious 5-star getaway in Langkawi for two.

In addition, Malaysia Airlines is extending an offer of 90% off every second Malaysia Airlines First or Business class ticket when purchases are made with a MasterCard.

The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic, Malaysia, is Southeast Asia’s biggest and richest tournament, featuring 48 players, including 30 from the PGA Tour, 10 from the Asian Tour, two Malaysians.

Malaysia Airlines is one of six sponsors of the exclusive tournament.
