RM1.2 million loss in furniture factory fire

KUALA LUMPUR: A major portion of a furniture factory in Kampung Baru, Sungai Buloh, was razed to the ground yesterday morning causing an estimated loss of RM1.2 million.

Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue chief Che Dawud Adli Yusof @ Che Man said the fire was believed to have started at 4am and spread to three of the four-block factory. — Bernama

He said three fire engines from Shah Alam and Sungai Buloh rushed to the scene with 24 personnel when they received the distress call at 4.50am and managed to put out the fire in an hour.

There were no casualties and the cause of fire was still being investigated, he said when contacted by Bernama here yesterday. — Bernama
