6.0-magnitude quake hits Fiji region

SUVA, Fiji: An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Fiji region at 12:15 p.m. local time Thursday, reports Xinhua news agency quoting the United States Geological Survey as saying.

The epicentre, with a depth of 611.90 km, was initially determined to be at 17.9142 degrees south latitude and 179.4242 degrees west longitude.  – Bernama
