KUCHING: Newly debuted Four Points by Sheraton Langkawi Resort boasts its prime location on a stretch of white sand beach at a secluded corner of the island, escalating the level of relaxation further to that provided by the brand’s signature Sheraton Four Comfort Bed.

ORIGINAL CONCEPT: The original concept for constructing an infinity pool in Langkawi was first introduced to Ting by Dr Mahathir back when he built the hotel in 1991. It measures a respectable 1,680 square metres.

The four-star resort, under Global Upline Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd (Global Upline hotels & Resorts) in collaboration with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Group held its opening ceremony last weekend, graced by the presence of former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

During the ceremony, Global Upline Hotel & Resorts group advisor Tan Sri Ting Pek Khiing outlined the beauty of Langkawi beaches which could benefit Kuchingites on a different level.

“We don’t get this kind of white sand and clear seas there, not even in Santubong,” Ting highlighted. “This is something that can be good for the Kuching society. They should come and explore.”

Targeting the mid-scale leisure and business travellers, the resort comes equipped with 214 accommodation rooms of various categories such as the sea view and partial sea view rooms that offer a breathtaking view of the beach.

The Comfort Room, available in king bed or twin bed set-ups, measures a comfortable 43 square metre size and adheres to the quality associated with Four Points by Sheraton.

Equipped with the same amenities as the Comfort Rooms, its Sea View and partial Sea View Rooms are located strategically for guests who wish to have a panoramic view of the sea.

The Lanai Rooms feature spacious private Lanais which allow guests easy access to outdoor facilities such as the island’s largest infinity pool.
