SARIKEI: St. Alban’s Church Committee will be holding a fundraising dinner in conjunction with the church’s first anniversary at the Civic Centre here on Dec 2.
The committee’s secretary Antau Sampao said they have invited Bishop Datuk Bolly Lapok as the guest-of-honour while senior minister of Social Development Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom, who is the patron, is also expected to attend.
Antau together with the committee’s chairman ASP Jefferson Ahim and other members had paid a courtesy call on Sarikei Resident Michael Dawi Alli at his office to inform him about the event yesterday.
During the meeting, they also briefed Michael, who is also the committee’s advisor, on their preparations for the celebration and dinner.
Tickets to the dinner are on sale at RM350 per table and are obtainable from the committee members.
