X-ray technician charged with outraging modesty of girl

KUALA LUMPUR: An x-ray technician pleaded not guilty at the Selayang magistrates court here yesterday to a charge of outraging the modesty of a private college student, three months ago.

Amri Hamzah, 30, allegedly used criminal force with intention to outrage the modesty of the 18-year-old girl in an x-ray room at
Selayang Hospital, Gombak about 4.45pm on Aug 14.

He was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum imprisonment of 10 years, fine or caning
or any two upon conviction.

Magistrate Mohd Isa Md Nor allowed a bail of RM4,000 with one surety and fixed Dec 19 for remention.
