MIRI: People must understand themselves first before they can get what they want.

This is the main thrust of a new motivational centre called Awaken Spirit-Mind Science Centre at Centre Point Commercial Centre here. It is the Miri branch of Petaling Jaya-based Ginguan Spirit-Mind Science Research (M) Sdn Bhd (Ginguan).

Assistant Minister of Sports Datuk Lee Kim Shin said all of us want prosperity, happiness, and everything good, but to achieve that we must understand ourselves first.

“People can never be satisfied if they were forever looking for more,” he said at a talk attended by about 500 people here recently.

“Improvement is good, and self-confidence is also very important, but ultimately we must find and know ourselves better,” said Lee, before handing over grants to several beneficiaries includingRiamRoadSecondary School, Miri Home for the Aged and Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter.

Lee welcomed the setting up of Awaken Spirit-Mind Science here, which he believed would benefit the people in solving their problems in life.

“No matter how rich we are, we all have worries and face pressure from various things in life, such as health, business, and education.”

However, he added, it is normal to have worries, and it is up to the individuals concerned to find ways to overcome them.

Meanwhile, a Ginguan personnel Charis Ong explained that Ginguan was established inTaiwan10 years ago, and was introduced toMalaysiafive years ago.

Ginguan now has 30 branches in countries such asTaiwan,Malaysia,Singapore,Hong Kong,Macao,ChinaandAustralia.

Their main motivational speaker is Lin Hsien Zhong fromTaichung,Taiwan, who found his calling in helping others improve their lives through the use of certain techniques to get to the root cause of their problems by working at the spiritual and mind levels.
