KUCHING: EtiQa, an insurance and takaful unit under Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank), promotes its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities throughout its one-month roadshow at Giant Hypermarket Tabuan Jaya here.

The Kuching branch’s business development executive Nur Fridatul Anthony Abdullah said the roadshow, which began on November 15, was organised with the objective of raising public awareness about the importance of insurance, as well as on products and services offered by EtiQa.

“Apart from giving information about the services that we offer, we also held a blood donation campaign December 3 at Giant Hypermarket Tabuan Jaya, which was supported by the Bau Hospital.

“On the drive, we received very good support from the public,” she said after a prize-giving ceremony for a children colouring contest, also held at the same venue during the weekend.

The contest, which was open to children aged between three and 12 years old, saw encouraging participation since its registration on November 26 this year where 20 children entered the competition.

Judges for the contest included EtiQa’s Sarawak regional chief executive officer Muhamad Yunos Mohd So’od, EtiQa’s branch manager Simon Lau and its group agency manager Simi Ujang.
