SPEND WISELY: A teacher hands over RM100 to a student.

SIBU: More than 100 pupils from SK St Mary received their RM100 schooling aid yesterday.

The school has a total of 238 pupils.

Headmaster Beruin Luang said: “This amount, though not much, lessens the financial burden of parents, especially those from the low income group.

“It could help parents prepare their children for the opening of school on Jan 3, like buying uniforms and bags,” he told reporters during the handover of aid to pupils at the school premises.

Beruin hoped parents would only use the assistance for their children’s education.
