LUNDU: It was a wet Christmas for villagers of Kampung Bitokon which got flooded since Christmas, affecting a few families.
The rain which poured since Christmas eve and the high tide contributed to the rising water level since 8pm on Dec 24.
Electricity and water supply were cut off, causing difficulties in getting clean water for cooking, bathing and other activities.
The road leading to the village was flooded and the water level is expected to rise.
The villagers are hoping for the authorities to send in assistance as soon as possible.
Rela of Kampung Bitokan has set up a security hut at its vehicle relocation centre.
