PBRS: We will bite STAR into oblivion

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) believes Sabahans are smart enough to know who are the capable and sincere leaders in the state.

Its Nabawan division secretary, Empir Andingos, said if the Sarawakeans had convincingly rejected the State Reform Party or STAR, the people of Sabah deserve better than supporting the party headed by outdated politicians.

“STAR is yet to register for its expansion to Sabah. Interestingly, despite it was only formed recently, the party is behaving like teaching the duck how to swim when its overzealous secretary, Guandee Kohoi, suggested wiping out other Barisan Nasional component parties in his self style confrontational and arrogant attitude. I am sure the STAR’s so-called struggle is just rhetoric and outdated making itself near obsolete,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Empir said it is a fact that Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) has the strong support from the grassroot level, especially in the interior areas like Nabawan.

“Where are the opposition party leaders when we were in dire need of assistance? So far only BN leaders, like Tan Sri Joseph Kurup, Datuk Ellron Anggin and Datuk Bobby Suan who had always come to our rescue whenever we were in desperate needs.

“The people of Nabawan will wait and see whom the people will wipe out in the next election. PBRS, the mosquito together with BN component parties will surely bite STAR into oblivion,” he added.
