SHAH ALAM: Former Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali, who was sacked from the party last Sunday, did not attend the Selangor state executive council meeting yesterday as he is on leave.

State deputy PAS commissioner Iskandar Abdul Samad said the meeting yesterday did not elaborate on the portfolio of Hasan as the chairman of the Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs, Infrastructure and Public Amenities Committee.

“The exco meeting today only discussed the state-run programmes for the people,” he told a press conference after attending the meeting here.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim had said that Hasan should vacate his exco post voluntarily as he was sacked from PAS and no longer represented the party. Hasan was sacked by PAS for actions deemed detrimental to the party. Asked on the possibility of Selangor PAS commissioner Dr Abdul Rani Osman to take over Hasan’s portfolio, Iskandar said: “I don’t want to precede the PAScentral committee on this matter.” — Bernama
