Ismail is new Samarahan Resident

KUCHING: Ismail Hanis is the new Resident of Samarahan Division.

He takes over from Rodziah Morshidi who had held the post since June 2009.

Speaking at the handing over of duty here recently, Ismail hoped that the staff would give him the same support and cooperation that were accorded to his predecessor to enable him to administer the division more smoothly.

He is the sixth Resident of the division since it was created in July 1986.

Rodziah, meanwhile, said that she had gained a lot of experience since becoming the Resident in 2009.

During those years, several achievements were achieved such as coming first place in the Resident Office category and second place in the District Office category (Serian District Office) and also winning the State Civil Service Quality Award category.

She also said that a history of sorts was recorded last year; five strategic plans were fully implemented in the Resident and District Offices.

Samarahan District and Asajaya sub-district office also received ‘5S Quality Environment Practices’ certification.

Other achievements include the establishment of five innovative and creative groups which helped to improve the service delivery, ‘e-Probate’, ‘e-Deposit’, and ‘Monitoring Record of Minor Rural Projects.
