Johor police seek man’s assistance in shooting case

JOHOR BAHARU: Johor police are seeking the assistance of a man to facilitate investigations into the shooting case at the entrance of a shopping complex in Taman Sentosa here Tuesday.

Johor police chief DCP Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said members of the public who knew the whereabouts Mohd Nazir Nayan @ Siew Loong, 31, whose last known address is No. 36 Jalan Perwira 2, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Skudai, were urged to contact the nearest police station.

In the 7.50am incident, Koh Seng Seong, 25, died at the scene after being shot in the chest from close range. Police did not rule out the motive was revenge.

It is believed the victim was involved in a fight with some individuals in front of an entertainment centre in the Taman Sentosa area a few hours before the shooting incident.

Meanwhile, Mokhtar said police had detained four men, aged between 30 and 50, in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a coffee shop in Taman Ungku Aminah at 7.15am, Jan 2.

On the dumping of several severed pig heads placed in two locations near the Al-Falah mosque, Taman Desa Jaya in a separate incidents on Dec 28 and 31, the police were hunting for two men suspected to be involved in the case. — Bernama
