KOTA KINABALU: Mastering science and technology will give the country the leading edge in the global competition, said Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
He said by applying science and technology in every facet of life, managing the government’s delivery system and implementing various policies would become easier.
“I believe that the setting up of Petronsains PlaySmart will provide opportunities to the people to enhance their knowledge, thus help produce first-class human capital,” he said at the launch of the Petrosains PlaySmart at the state library in Luyang near here yesterday. His speech was read by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur.
Musa commended Petronas and its subsidiaries for their commitment in fulfilling corporate social responsibility that contributed to the socio-economic development and education of the people.
He said Petrosains PlaySmart was one of the education initiatives developed by Petronas through close collaboration with state departments and agencies.
Other programmes developed by Petronas included the Bakti education programme, science camps, examination workshops and the Kimanis Petroleum Training Centre. — Bernama
