KUALA LUMPUR: Actress, model and television host Wardina Safiyyah Fadlullah Wilmot lost RM20,000 when her house was broken into by three armed men at Taman Bukit Utama, Bukit Antarabangsa, here yesterday morning.

In the 3am incident, the three criminals prised open the back door of the corner lot double-storey terrace house before ordering all her family members to gather together.

Wardina Safiyyah, 33, who is still traumatised by the
incident, said the three
criminals had split and entered the master bedroom and her children’s rooms.

“At that time, I was sleeping alone in the master bedroom because of fever while my husband, Ikhwan Johari, 36, slept with my youngest son, Imran Ar-Razi, 3.

“One of the robbers drew my blanket and asked me to wake up while the others brought all my family members and maid to the master bedroom,” she told reporters here yesterday.

She said her daughters, Amna Nafeesa, 8, and Azra Fareera, 5, were sleeping together in their own room on the upper floor of the house while her maid, an Acheh national was sleeping downstairs.

“Ikhwan was beaten by the robbers in the face and leg before they tied my husband with telephone wires. One of the robbers kept watch over us while the two others ransacked our house,” she said.

She said the three robbers who covered their faces with cloth, were armed with a screwdriver, a piece of wood and metal cutter and took 45 minutes to ransack the whole house before fleeing with valuables including five laptops, four mobile phones, a gold ring, a car key and RM200 in cash.

She had lodged a police report at Hulu Klang police station at 4.30am and Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Amiruddin Jamaluddin confirmed the incident. — Bernama
