KUALA LUMPUR: The Canadian High Commission, in collaboration with JS Concert Productions, is giving away two pairs of tickets to watch Canadian international superstar Avril Lavigne on her “Black Star Tour” live in Kuala Lumpur on Feb 18.

The High Commission’s Second Secretary Political, Economic and Public Affairs Section, Stuart Shaw, said entries could be made by clicking the “like” button on http://www.facebook.com/CanadaMalaysia and say what your favourite Avril song is for a chance to win the tickets.

The correct answers will be put into a lucky draw to determine the winner, he said in a statment. The contest ends on Feb 15 at noon and the winner will be contacted via facebook, Shaw added.

Lavigne, a singer, songwriter and musician from Napanee, Ontario, scored a string of international hit singles: “Complicated”, “Sk8er Boi”, “I’m With You”, and “Losing Grip” from 2002 6x-platinum “Let Go” followed by “Girlfriend”, “When You’re Gone”, and “Hot” from 2007’s platinum “The Best Damn Thing.”

Her fourth album “Goodbye Lullaby” was released in March last year.

Lavigne also launched a second career as an entrepreneur by creating a well-received fashion and lifestyle brand “Abbey Dawn” as well as fragrances named “Black Star” and “Forbidden Rose.” — Bernama
