KUCHING: Jimisar Autotrade Sdn Bhd (Jimisar) the dealer of Mitsubishi Motors introduced the upgraded compact cross-over sport utility vehicle (SUV), Mitsubishi ASX (ASX) yesterday, in conjunction with its official nationwide launch.
According to a press release, the ASX offered 17-inch alloy rims, magnesium paddle shifters which enabled drivers to shift gears without moving the hand off the steering wheel, auto-retractable side mirrors, smart key and push start operating system.
The ASX introduced premium leather seats with enhanced comfort for better lumbar support.
It came with a ‘Telescopic’ steering, coloured ‘LCD Multi-Info Display’, and a ‘two-DIN’ touch screen entertainment system.
It has the front and rear sensors as well as a rear view camera to aid reversing and parking.
The ASX priced at RM143,042.50 on the road inclusive of insurance and it was obtainable in four colours which were ‘White Pearl’, ‘Mica Black’, ‘Red Metallic’ and ‘Titanium Grey’.
Buyers would get to enjoy a three-year per 100,000 km warranty as well as Mitsubishi’s two-year free maintenance package.
It used MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control), an exclusive technology that adjusted intake timing for optimal performance across the rev range.
It came with a six-speed CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with sports mode including an automatic transmission.
For safety purposes, the ASX came with standard Active Stability Control (ASC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) to make it easier to start off on a steep uphill slope.
It had Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), pretensioners and many others.
