A ‘pinkish buffet dinner’ for lovebirds at Grand Margherita

KUCHING: Grand Margherita Hotel is offering lovebirds a pink-themed buffet dinner at its Orchid Garden restaurant on Valentine’s Day.

“The aptly named ‘St Valentine’s Day a pinkish buffet dinner’ will feature a range of food and beverages in the colour pink, which signifies love and affection,” Grand Margherita Hotel stated in its press statement.

With a delectable international and oriental spread, some of the highlights of this buffet include carpaccio of smoked salmon with traditional garnish, sashimi, sushi, maki, fresh oysters and snow crab on ice and prawn with spicy cocktail sauce.

Customers’ favourites would also be made available that night, including cheese platter, marinated lamb steak, oven-baked mussels with tomato chilli coulis, lamb ribs with homemade barbeque sauce, honey-gingered salmon fillet and rib eye with trimming.

In addition to the above mentioned, there would also be a ‘Hotplate Station’ set up with dishes such as lasagna with chicken and mozzarella and tomato, seafood paella, roasted baby potatoes with thyme, while the ‘Pasta Station’ would allow diners to customise their pastas with meatballs, prawns, mussels or mushrooms in various sauces such as tomato, pesto or cream.

“For a taste of the orient, and a must for all inquisitive foodies, diners can head to the ‘Teppanyaki Station’ and ‘Asian Noodle Station’ to pick and mix the available ingredients to create your meals,” the statement added.

The ‘St Valentine’s Day a pinkish buffet dinner’ is priced from RM80 per adult while children age six to 12 could dine at only RM40.

Diners to the ‘St Valentine’s Day a pinkish buffet dinner’ would also be entitled to a special room rate of RM150 per night in a Deluxe Room inclusive of breakfast for two.

The price quoted was for a one night only stay and would not be applicable with other promotions or discounts.
