JASIN: The water supply for domestic and industrial consumers is expected to remain stable as Melaka face a drought that may last until June.

Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB) deputy chairman Datuk Abdul Rahaman Abdul Karim said water capacity at two dams of Durian Tunggal and Jus dropped by only 0.3 per cent.

“The water supply is stable with Jus dam at 93 percent capacity,” he said after a visit to Jus dam, Selandar where he was briefed by SAMB senior production manager Mohamed Hilmi Mohd Yusof.

The RM160mil Jus dam which had been in operation since 2003 has a reservoir capacity of 43 mega million cubic litres of water.
