MELAKA: A soldier was killed and another was badly injured after the motorcycle they were riding was involved in a collision with a car driven by a policeman at Jalan Klebang Besar here early yesterday.
Mohd Azhar As (rpt) As, 26, who had been with the Terendak Camp in Sungai Udang here, died on the spot in the accident which occurred at 2.25 am.
His pillion-rider, Zulhilmi Faiz, also 26, who is with the military in Kuantan, has been admitted to Melaka Hospital and is reported to have gone into a coma.
The accident happened as they were returning home from the “Jom Heboh” carnival at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh here.
The policeman, from the Melaka police headquarters, was unhurt.
Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Salehhudin Abd Rahman confirmed the accident. — Bernama
