Drug pushers deserve only the worst

On 4th December 2006, the Tired Eye wrote about how drug pushers should be lynched and painfully tortured for what they do.  In light of the recent cases involving local girls as drug mules and also several reports on drug hauls by the police, the Eye decided on a re-visit of this piece that was published almost six years ago.

Six years ago, the Eye wrote on how ironic it is that while Malaysia has the toughest anti-drug laws and the death sentence for drug trafficking, we are still surrounded by people who abuse drugs – be it simply for partying or for some form of deluded “self medication” because they just cannot seem to handle harsh realities that life throws at them.

Six years ago the Eye pointed out that those who took drugs, are majority affluent, educated, and are fully aware of the effects of taking drugs. Yet, they pollute their minds, bodies and souls with mind altering drugs.

Yes, of course, there are the poorer ones, lower down the druggie hierarchy who go about doing whatever they can get their hands on — glue, cheap pills, remnant bits of weed and at some point in time — cow dung.

Six years ago, the Eye put the blame on the pushers.  If it was not for the dealers and pushers, we would not have a huge problem with drug abuse and people falling victims to becoming drug mules.

Despite the fact that society frowns upon drug abusers, the Eye still cannot help but feel sorry for some of them.  They could have gotten caught up in the low-letting and stupid act of taking drugs for many reasons.

It could have been due to peer pressure.  It could be an escape for those who are not so spiritually and mentally strong to escape harsh realities. It could be a problem with self esteem. It could be that they were never brought up right. It could be the lack of a strong family background.

The Eye still believes that we should not condemn the druggies outright without first understanding why they allowed themselves to fall into the trap, and they should be given chances at turning themselves around.

The Eye pleads to those who use drugs – do not allow yourselves to be weaklings.  Do not allow yourselves to stupidly succumb to the availability of illicit drugs. Be strong.  Be brave enough to say no. Be grateful for little things in life and realise that there are those around the world who have bigger and more painful problems than you, and yet, they get through life.

A choice of the right friends and members of the family is important. No one can help you start getting out of drugs unless you start to help yourself first. Only then will others be able to help you.

On the other hand, those who supply and make the drugs so easily available should be shot. They are the people who take advantage of those who easily succumb to drugs.

On second thought, the pushers should not be shot. An instant death would be too kind.

They should be tortured and made to suffer, in retribution for how they have made their victim and the families of victims suffer.

They should be lynched in public, instead of being hung in private gallows. It does not matter if the so called “big boys” behind the scenes are people of reputation and money.

Drug suppliers or pushers are greedy and selfish pricks. All they care about is making money out of people who get warped up thinking they NEED drugs, offering them that illicit and “easy way” out of their problems and headaches.

What the Eye does not understand is how the police can allow the sales of illicit drugs, take place right under their noses. The Eye has heard rumours of how the authorities themselves are getting cuts from deals.  Could this be true?

Then these so called members of the “authority” should also be made to suffer, slowly.

As far as the Eye is concerned, those who are involved in pushing and supplying illicit drugs deserve only the worst.

If we can only gather all of them and put them somewhere where they can suffer to the extreme, then maybe, we would not have such a huge problem with people falling victims as addicts and mules.
