KUCHING: The English Language Academy (ELA) is the sole authorised representative in Sarawak appointed by International Aviation Centre (IAC), an aviation arm of ASH Consulting Sdn Bhd that has been guiding students for 20 years to become airline pilots and aircraft engineers.

Aircraft engineering courses at these three centres are fully recognised and approved by the European Aviation Safety Association (EASA) with two years guaranteed working experience to obtain their professional licences.

For Commercial Pilot Training, these include Asian Institute of Aviation (AIA), Subic in the Philippines , Basair Aviation College, Sydney, Australia and HM Aerospace, Langkawi, Malaysia.

Effective March 2012, all students from the Asian Institute of Aviation (AIA) will have job placements guaranteed after their completion of CPL/IR in the new campus in Subic, Philippines.

The total cost for CPL is USD$39,800 which includes food, accommodation and everything to complete the course.

Entry requirements vary in different countries.

Students have to meet the following requirements to be given an offer: be at least 17 years old, have successfully completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), O-levels, UEC exams with credits in English, mathematics and science subjects, have adequate competency in English Language or IELTS score of minimum 5.5, a pass in Class One Medical Examination by approved Designated Aviation Medical Examiners (pilot students only) and possess valid international passports.
