KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia kicked off their 2012 London Olympic Qualifier in Dublin, Ireland in superb style by beating Chile 5-1.
Mohd Razie Rahim gave the Malaysian side a flying start by converting a penalty corner in the 18th minute but two minutes later Chile were level on terms with a well taken penalty corner by Jan Richter.
Faisal Saari however, restored the lead in the 22nd minute to give coach Tai Beng Hai some breathing space before the second half.
The second half though saw Malaysia transform itself into attacking mode and Hafifihafiz Hanafi quickly underlined the team’s dominance with a 49th minute strike before Mohd Razie sounded the board yet again in the 51st minute while Mohd Amin Rahim sealed the victory in the 61st minute.
