MUKAH: President of Mukah Lions Club Henry Lee Liong Ing and other members recently joined hands with the local Perdana Welfare Brigade (BKP) volunteers to clean and beautify the compound and building of Community Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) Mukah.

According to a BKP Mukah committee member Harapi Charles Inggu, the volunteers headed by their secretary Benet Edward were entrusted to clean up the building and do grass-cutting at the compound while the Lions Club members were entrusted to do paint works inside the single-storey detached concrete building located opposite Mukah Fire and Rescue Service (Bomba) station along the old Mukah-Oya Road here.

Lee, who is also a committee member of BKP Mukah said, the ‘gotong-royong’ exercise was the second of their voluntary activities this year after they successfully helped in organising a divisional-level Senior Citizens Day celebration held at Stadium Perpaduan Dalat sometime last month.

PDK Mukah chairman Jasni Ramli was also present during the ‘gotong-royong’ exercise.
