MIRI: A 28-year-old man brought his teenage sister and her male acquaintance, 21, to Miri Centre Police station (CPS) on Sunday.
The 14-year-old girl had not returned home since going out on March 15.
Worried, the brother got one of his sister’s female friends to call her so he could meet her and the man in the city centre at about 4.30pm on Sunday.
During the meeting the brother asked whether they have had sex and both denied, but the brother who was not convinced, brought both of them to the CPS.
There the unemployed man admitted having had sex with the minor when interrogated by police.
He has been remanded for seven days from Tuesday to assist in investigation.
The case is being classified under Section 376 of the Penal Code, which carries 30 years’ imprisonment and whipping if convicted.
