CROWD FAVOURITE: Kyoto Protocol in action.

SANTUBONG: Musicians and music lovers joined forces to promote environment awareness at the ‘Earth Hour:After Dark’ concert held at Damai Central last Saturday night.

They observed the Earth Hour by shutting off the lights during the concert.

With a lineup from local acts such as Polar, Mayze, United Kids of Oi! and Ready Steady Go!, the crowds were also entertained by two top-notch acts, OAG and Kyoto Protocol from West Malaysia.

Lights around Damai Central were turned off as the show went acoustic with local act Pearl & Rendall mesmerising the crowd with their female vocalists’ soothing voice and firm display of musical coordination.

Ready Steady Go! was next and the all male group had the crowd wanting for more before OAG took centre stage. Despite the acoustic performance, OAG vocalist Radhi, who hails from Kuching, had the charisma and vocal.

Organised by Windshield Network and Damai Central, the free concert was aimed at educating the public on the importance of energy conservation.
