Another syndicate member in baby-for-sale racket detained

KLANG: Police have detained a woman, believed to be involved in a baby-for-sale syndicate that police had busted following a raid at a restaurant in Bukit Tinggi on April 6.

Klang district police chief ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop said the woman, a local, aged 34 was detained at her home in Tanjung Sepat, Banting on Monday.

He said police were looking for another woman, believed to be the mediator in the transactions.

During the raid on April 6, police nabbed four women including a Singaporean aged 37, and rescued two infants (boys), one aged 22 days and the other, three
months.

Police also detained six men, including the father of one of the infants, and a Singaporean woman aged 32. — Bernama
